There will be a general holiday in the red zone of 15 districts

The government has declared a general holiday in areas marked as red zones in 15 districts of the country to prevent coronavirus infection. Last Sunday night, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard. It said that from June 21, there will be general holidays for different periods in the areas of 10 districts marked as red zones. The district administration is taking necessary steps in this regard. On Monday, 12 more areas of five more districts of the country were listed as red zones and a general holiday was declared there. These new districts are Faridpur, Manikganj, Brahmanbaria, Narsingdi and Kushtia. Through this, 39 areas of 15 districts have been listed as red zones.

Among the newly identified red zones are all areas of Bhanga municipality of Faridpur, Seota of Manikganj municipality of Manikganj, Gangadhar Patti and Paschim Dashra, Sadar and Dhankora unions of Saturia upazila, Singair municipality and Joymandap union of Singair upazila. 

Paikpara and Kalaishripara of Ward No. 4, Madhyapara of Ward No. 5 and Kazipara of Ward No. 6 of Brahmanbaria Municipality of Brahmanbaria. Hospitalpara and Paschimpara of Ward No. 2, T&Tipara of Ward No. 3, Hospitalpara and Kolejpara of Ward No. 4 and Bholachang Daspara of Ward No. 6 of Nabinagar Municipality. Araibari of Ward No. 4, Shitalpara of Ward No. 5 and Sahapara of Ward No. 6 of Kasba Municipality. 

Wards 4 and 5 of Madhabadi Municipality of Narsingdi (North Birampur and South Birampur). Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 15, 16 and 20 of Kushtia Municipality of Kushtia, Bahirchar and Chandgram Unions of Bheramara Upazila. Ward areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Bheramara municipality. These areas will be under general holiday for 21 days from the date of declaration of red zone.

The government is giving special importance to strict observance of public holidays in the Red Zone area. Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also called for compliance with the lockdown rules. He said, 'General holidays have been declared in specific areas of district and city corporations. I urge the people of these areas to strictly follow the government guidelines. Obaidul Quader made the call while attending an event in Noakhali online from Dhaka on Monday.

The districts declared earlier as Red Zone are Chittagong, Bogra, Chuadanga, Moulvibazar, Narayanganj, Habiganj, Munshiganj, Comilla, Jessore and Madaripur. According to the government order, the leave will be applicable to all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory and private offices, institutions and agencies residing in the Red Zone declared area. This holiday will also include weekly holidays. Besides, the leave will also apply to all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory and private offices, institutions and agencies located in the Red Zone declared area and to the officers and employees residing in other areas. The movement of people in these areas will be strictly controlled during general holidays. However, emergency services will be outside the general holiday.

Madaripur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wahidur Rahman told Kaler Kanth yesterday, “We have to manage the red zone very carefully. Local political leaders, people's representatives, administration, police and all are working together. He said there is some lack of awareness among the people. We are trying to improve this place.

The general holiday area declared on Sunday is
21 days from the date of declaring an area as a red zone and the general holiday has been declared from 21st June. As such, Ward No. 10 North Kattli of Chittagong City Corporation (area other than BSIC Industrial City). The area was declared a red zone on June 18. There will be a general holiday from June 21 to July 7, with the next 21 days set for the Red Zone. 

Bogra Municipality Chelopara, Nataipara, Naruli, Jaleshwari Tala, Sutrapur, Maltinagar, Thanthania, Haripari and Colony areas have been declared red zones on June 14. There will be a general holiday until July 5. The refugee colony of Puranpur village in ward no. 5 of Darshana municipality of Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga and the Thanapara area of ​​ward no. 7 were declared red zones on June 16. A general holiday has been declared here till July 8.

Catholic Mission Road, Rupashpur, Sabujbagh, Muslimbagh, Lalbagh, Biraimpur and Kalighat Road and Shyamoli areas of Srimangal Municipality in Srimangal Union of Srimangal Upazila of Moulvibazar. Nandanagar of Baramchal union of Kulaura upazila, Mansur of Kadipur union and Magur and Mansur areas of Kulaura municipality. These areas were declared red zones on June 14. General holiday here till 5th July.

Rupganj Union of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj (Balu Bridge in the north, Kayetpara in the south, Kayetpara in the east and Kanchan Municipality in the west) has been declared a red zone on June 11. Holidays in the area until July 2. Ward No. 8 and 9 of Habiganj Municipality and Deorgach Union No. 3 of Chunarughat Upazila, Ubahata Union No. 6, Ranigaon No. 9 and Chunarughat Municipality, Ajmiriganj Sadar Union No. 1 of Ajmiriganj Upazila and Madhabpur Municipality area have been declared as Red Zone. General holiday in these areas till July 9.

Mathpara area of ​​ward no. 1 of Munshiganj municipality of Munshiganj district has been declared a red zone on June 18. There will be a general holiday in the area till July 9.

Kaliajuri of Ward No. 3, Racecourse Shasnagachha, Jhautala of Ward No. 10, Kandir Par, Police Lines, Badurtala, Nanuar Dighir Par of Ward No. 12, Nawabbari, Chaumuhani, Dakshin of Waramich 13 The Chartha area was declared a lockdown for the next 21 days from June 18. As such, a general holiday has been declared here till July 3. Ward areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Madaripur municipality of Madaripur district and Bahadurpur, Dudhkhali, Kaudi, Mostafapur, Rasti and Kendua unions; Area 1, 4, 5 of Shibchar municipality of Shibchar upazila and second part of Shibchar, Baheratla South, Banshkandi, Bhadrasan, Kadirpur, Madbarerchar and Pachchar Unions; Ward No. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 of Kalkini Municipality and Dasar, Gopalpur, Alinagar and Shikarmangal Unions; 1, 2, 3, 5, of Rajoir Municipality Wards 6 and 7 and Badarpasha, Amgram, Kabirajpur and Hossainpur areas were declared red zones on June 16 for two weeks. A general holiday has been declared in these areas till June 30.
