Don't be horrible. That is why all schools in the East African country of Kenya will be closed until January next year. Final examinations are usually held in the schools of that country in October-November. All those tests this year have also been canceled. News from the BBC.
Kenya's Education Minister George Magoha told reporters that classes in primary and secondary schools would begin in January next year. The country's education minister thinks the opening of the school means increasing the danger in the way the Corona outbreak has started.
Not only that, he thinks, putting children in more danger. On the other hand, the school will be closed from mid-March, so the 2020 academic year of all schools will also be dropped, he said. This instruction will be applicable to all public and private schools. In Kenya, the school year is from January to November. However, the country's colleges and universities will be reopened in September if strict health rules are followed, the education minister said.
Since the students stopped going to school in March, the government-run Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development has been trying to keep the school running through radio, television and online. Although some students were able to complete the lesson according to the syllabus, many were not covered by this technical facility.
The number of corona cases is increasing all over the world. More than 8,000 cases of coronavirus have been identified in Kenya so far. The virus has killed 174 people. New infections have also increased in recent days.
